Jab we met or Dil hai ke manta nahi

Industrialist Aditya (Shahid Kapur) feels defeated as the girl he loves is getting married. He drifts out of the gathering, and finds himself on a train, speeding away into the night. A young girl Geeta (Kareena Kapoor), who is leaving Mumbai to elope with her boyfriend, meets Aditya. She irritates him to the point of leaving the train. They are stranded on a desolate station, without luggage or money. They reach Ambala, her house, through highs and lows, only to be mistaken as lovers by the family. Geet then plans to run away to Manali to meet the man of her dreams.

By Manali, he has begun to see her in a different way. To realize later that her boyfriend had not accepted her. And she was missing. Her family traces him to get her back.

It is up to her to tell her family the truth. Only that she realizes that the misconception was the truth.. And they are meant to be together, always.

Girl running away from home to meet her lover, getting straded on railway station with an stranger, and no money, and the stranger helps her to get her to the destination only to fall in love with her.

The plot is very much similar to what we have seen in Dil hai ke manta nahi, the movie starring Aamir khan and pooja bhatt and was directed by her father Mahesh bhatt
Pooja bhatt played the role of spoil rich kid with innocence and vulnerability ,and aamir khan was brilliant in his portrayal of the character name Raghu, damn I still remember the name of the character he played, its the magic of his performance that he lives the character rather than just playing it.
Even though Dil hai ke manta nahi was also lifted from hollywood classic 'It happened one night', but it still takes some doing making a success out of a remake.Sholay and don are prime example and all those movies lifted from hollywood aren't always a box office spinner

Here is trailer of the movie, Shahid is playing a industrialist, so give him a glasses and certain accent, and kareena must shout her lungs out because she is playing a punjaban. When will we get over these stereotypes and build real life characters

Frankly speaking, I thought we had seen the worst of kareena in the rajshree disaster of the century 'main prem ki deewani hoon', her overacting was unbearable in that movie and could have won her an award for ham queen. If the trailer of the jab we met is any indication, worst is still to come for kareena.

There have been rumours that Shahid kapoor has requested kareena kapoor to hide their alleged break out until the release of Jab we met.I don't know how much difference is this going to make as every one on this face of the world knows that Kareena is now seeing Saif ali khan
