Eklavya has been chosen as the official entry for Oscars from India. The other names that were considered were Chak de, Guru, and Gandhi my father.Eklavya wasn't a unanimous decision but majority of jury went for it.

The nomination of Eklavya by FFI has created quite a stir as its not one of the exceptional movies that were made in India this year, in fact far from it.Eklavya was a box office disaster and was thrashed by the critics for its weak script.The length of the movie is only one and half hours, but when you are watching it seems like eternity, that gives the idea how boring and badly written movie was Eklavya

The reasons for which this movie has been chosen must be only known to the FFI jury who came upon this decision.You will be shocked to learn that who was the head of that committee, Vijay pande, the guy who made z grade movie Red swastika, great credentials,I must say

Many might say that Chak de would have been the best choice, but themes like chak de have been done to death in hollywood, but it was definitely better than dud, Eklavya

I don't believe that we should take Oscars that seriously but if we are sending our movies their to represent India, it should only be the best

IMO, Black Friday should have been send for the Oscars, as it was brilliantly directed movie.It would have changed the perception about bollywood.The movie deals with the global issue of terrorism
